With regard to the specific educational objectives pursued, the Doctoral Program in Legal Sciences aims to:
train highly qualified researchers in the research topics of the relevant scientific-disciplinary sectors, without prejudice to common training in the fundamental methodologies of the legal areas;
deepen the knowledge essential for carrying out traditional legal activities in private practice (law, judiciary, notary);
finally, as a common objective for all specializations, to deepen the theoretical training of doctoral students through their compulsory participation in lectures, conferences, and seminars held by experts in the various legal disciplines of reference; the development, by each doctoral student, of an individual research topic, under the supervision of a tutor appointed by the Faculty Board; the ability of doctoral students to organize study and research activities in Italy and abroad and to present the results in written and oral form.
The program also includes in-depth study of legal English and computer skills.
Career prospects may vary depending on each doctoral student’s area of specialization, as well as activities related to areas of greatest interest.
In particular, teaching related to legal science aims to train researchers for the university, equipped with a solid legal background and strong methodological and critical skills. activities related to the world of business and contracts aim to train young researchers with a solid basic legal background for the study and application of the main legal and economic issues in any research institute and for the management of the most complex legal issues related to business life; in-depth study of public law issues provides a higher level of training with a transnational focus, which is particularly useful for careers in public administration at national or EU level, in the diplomatic service, or in journalism.
